Heathy Rituals to Nourish Your Life
You're invited to join us Monday, October 17th as we welcome Blue Heron Acupuncture & Apothecary’s Lisa Abernathy to discuss rituals and healthcare for Autumn!
During this unique, interactive workshop, we will discuss the Lungs and Large Intestine, the organs associated with the Fall season. In Chinese Medicine, this pair emotionally relates to sadness, grief, transition and the ability to let go. One finds a reflection of this dynamic in the natural world by observing the cooling temperatures and falling leaves. Decay is in the air, but out of that decay is born gratitude, inspiration, stillness, nostalgia, introspection and beauty.
When our Metal element is healthy, we are able to appreciate the ways in which our pasts have shaped us and look forward to what is to come. The physical roles of the Lungs and Large Intestine mirror the psychoemotional aspects: the breath (inspiration) and excretion (letting go). While emotionally lifting one's spirits, strengthening the Lungs and Large Intestine physically supports one's breathing, immune system and bowel movements. Furthermore, the Lungs govern the skin, which can be susceptible to dryness during these later months of the year.
In this workshop, we will discuss food, essential oils and skincare to nurture your Metal element. Plus, your ticket includes a gift bag full of goodies to enhance the health of your Lungs and Large Intestine!
